А теперь мы переходим к практической области, где надо жестко соблюдать соответствующие стандарты. Например, очень часто требуется указать данные (имя, фамилию, свой адрес) при регистрации на зарубежных сайтах, скажем, на том же Google Adsense (тут о регистрации в этой системе контекстной рекламы) или вебсайтах платежных систем (к примеру, PayPal).

Если вы регистрируетесь с территории Российской Федерации, то строго следуйте правилам, применяемым при оформлении загранпаспортов, иначе могут возникнуть сложности.

Потому корректное написание русского имени, фамилии, адреса (а также других необходимых данных) на английском может вам существенно помочь.

Для вебмастеров четкое и последовательное соблюдение правил транслитерации русских слов также имеет важнейшее значение. Ведь многие владельцы вебресурсов на просторах рунета используют translit как в адресах страниц, так и в названии своих сайтов.

Для чего это необходимо? Дело в том, что содержащие ключевые слова URL (изучи́те материал об унифицированных указателях ресурсов) вебстраниц оказывают положительное влияние на SEO продвижение сайта. Скажете, это мелочь? Но успешная раскрутка любого проекта как раз и состоит из сплошных нюансов.

Косвенным доказательством этого может служить то обстоятельство, что, например, Яндекс при ранжировании (в о том, как ранжируют сайты поисковики) совсем недавно даже выделял жирным в результатах поиска ключевики в урлах:

Таким образом, очень важно соблюдать правильный translit с русского на английский для адресов всех страниц вашего сайта. С этой целью стоит взять за основу предоставленную выше таблицу

Также следует иметь ввиду, что при составлении URL лучше всего ограничить набор символов следующим образом: использовать только цифры (0-9), буквы в верхнем (A-Z) и нижнем (a-z) регистрах, а также тире («-») и нижнее подчеркивание («_»).

Для тех, кто имеет вебресурсы, работающие на CMS WordPress, существует простое расширение RusToLat (правда, этот плагин давно не обновлялся, поэтому для ярых перфекционистов вроде меня существует его более современный аналог), который обеспечивает автоматический транслит русских букв в адресе страницы, создавая при этом ЧПУ (человеко-понятные урлы).

Касательно поисковой оптимизации хотелось бы остановиться еще на одном нюансе (напоминаю, что мелочей в продвижении нет). Невзирая на то, что основным международным стандартом является на данный момент ИСО-9, транслитерация в Яндексе и Гугле имеет свои особенности.

Например, в общепринятом стандарте русская буква «х» (ха) соответствует латинской «x» (икс). Однако, Yandex в выдаче не выделяет ключевики с таким вариантом в URL (выделению жирным подлежат только те ключи, где «х» транслитерирована в «h»):

Похожая ситуация наблюдается и с Google, хотя в правилах транслитерации «империи добра» и есть некоторые различия с российским поисковиком.

Поскольку многие вебмастера и владельцы коммерческих ресурсов чуть больше ориентируются на Yandex, в последней главе я предоставлю один из онлайн сервисов, который дает возможность корректно перевести в транслит любой набор букв, соответствующий правилам «зеркала рунета».

В общем, вручную можно всегда проставить нужную литеру при составлении урла любой веб-страницы. Используя автоматический вариант в лице все того же RusToLat мы теряем некоторое время на редактирование, поскольку в настройках данного плагина есть возможность выставить только стандарт ISO-9 как самый подходящий. А в нем как раз соответствие «x» — «х».

Конечно, можно и здесь найти выход. А именно, чуточку изменить файл плагина, где определены соответствия между русским и латинским алфавитами. Для этого откройте его на редактирование (советую использовать в подобных случаях редактор Нотпад++) и замените нужные символы:

Только не забудьте удостовериться, что RusToLat настроен правильно в админке WordPress (там должна быть установлена кодировка ISO 9-95):

Естественно, проделывать такую операцию или нет, каждый для себя решает сам. Кстати, я был бы рад любому комментарию с вашей стороны относительно данного аспекта. Стоит ли игра свеч?

С целью добиться активного участия вашего сайта в поиске по картинкам можно использовать translit ключевых слов в самом названии файлов изображений. Для этих целей удобно применять программу Punto Switcher. После активации софта просто выделите название графического файла и нажмите сочетание Alt+Scroll Lock на клавиатуре (горячие клавиши по умолчанию в Свитчере).

Одна из очевидных областей применения транслита — уличные указатели и карты метрополитена, рассчитанные на туристов. Поскольку в Россию приезжают не только англоговорящие туристы (их как раз не большинство), лингвист считает, что ориентироваться именно на английский вариант латиницы не имеет смысла.

«Люди, которые подходят к проблеме транслитерации наивно, знакомы обычно только с латинской графикой английского языка. Например, для них наиболее очевидный кандидат для буквы Й — латинская Y. Между тем в немецком, польском и шведском языках для обозначения схожего звука выступает буква J. При этом носители английского языка не составляют большинства туристов в России», — поясняет он.

Как будет читаться транслит, неважно, потому что носители разных языков все равно прочитают его по-своему. «Приспособиться ко всем вариантам произношения все равно не получится

Главное, чтобы у нас был однозначный способ кириллических написаний на латинице. Важна не транскрипция, а именно транслитерация — передача буквы в букву», — отмечает Андрей Кибрик.

Второе требование к системе транслитерации: она должна быть обратимой, то есть нужно, чтобы по латинице можно было восстановить исходное кириллическое написание. Для этого разные буквы русского алфавита и их сочетания нельзя передавать одной и той же латинской буквой

Это важно не столько для городских названий, сколько для официальных бумаг, иначе из обычной русской фамилии «Иванов» можно получить сначала Ivanow, а при обратной транслитерации — романтическое и загадочное «Айвэноу»

Using this Armenian transliteration service you can solve a few tasks. The Armenian transliterator supports both Eastern Armenian and Western Armenian pronunciations. Each dialect has its own transliteration table. How the Armenian Translit Converter Works?

Conversion from Latin script to Armenian letters is performed in real time as you type. Advantage of this on-the-fly translit conversion is that you can see the result immediately on the screen.

Sometimes you might want to turn the automatic conversion to Armenian OFF to type parts of the text in English. This is easily done by pressing the «Auto Convert» button above the transliteration text field or by pressing the Escape (ESC) button on your conventional computer keyboard. To turn the automated conversion to Armenian back on, press the same button again.

The Armenian translit converter will automatically escape any text written inside of HTML (e.g. <strong>) or BB codes (e.g. ). This feature is mainly intended to help those among us who frequently communicates on Armenian speaking forums, where the use of HTML or BB codes is a common practice. However if this function is not required, it can be easily disabled by pressing the «Skip Tags» button above the Armenian transliteration text area once.

The conversion keys → ARMENIAN and → LATIN are provided to translate text from the input area to Armenian or Latin accordingly. If only a part of the text is selected and one of the translit converter keys is pressed, then the conversion will affect only this selected part of the text and the rest of the text will be left in the original script. If no text or the whole text in the translit text area is selected and one of the conversion keys is pressed, then the conversion will be applied to the whole text of the translit text area.

Aside from English to Armenian transliteration you can use set of advanced language tools and functions. These features are available from the drop down menu on the down right side of the main translit converter input form. They perform the following tasks:

• Armenian Spell Check — Armenian spell checker is an extremely useful feature, which will always keep your texts free of mistakes and misspellings. We strongly recommend to spellcheck your transliterated Armenian text after you are finished with typing.
• Search on Google.am — In our opinion Google is the best search engine available on the market. If you select a part of the text in the transliteration converter text area and select the «Search on Google» item, the part of the selected text will be sent for look up to the Google web site. If the whole text or no text has been selected then the whole text contained in the Armenian transliteration text field will be sent for search to Google.
• Dictionary Look-up — By choosing this option you can look-up any typed word or sentence in the Armenian dictionary Nayiri.com. Selection rules are the same as for Google search.
• Your Favorite Service — Do you think we could add some useful function here? Then please drop us a short message and maybe the next time you will find your favorite service here!

All input and output, as well as the whole Armenian-Latin converter web site, is designed in the universal character set Unicode, utilizing the UTF-8 encoding. This is the latest standard and should be compatible with most of the modern world wide web (www) browsers and text processors.

1. Прежде всего, я хотел бы сразу выполнить обещание и предоставить сервис, учитывающий правила Яндекса (подозреваю, что для поисковой системы Гугл он тоже подойдет). Это Translit-online.ru, где существует сразу несколько вариантов на выбор. На главной вкладке можно перевести онлайн любой текст для чтения длиной до 50 000 знаков:

Ниже даны настройки некоторых присущих только кириллице символов (ё, й, х, ц, щ, э), которые вызывают некоторые сложности при их преобразовании в латиницу. Так как это режим перевода для чтения, то можно настроить соответствие по вашему разумению:

Также здесь имеется такой интересный инструмент как виртуальная клавиатура. Она позволяет набирать текст по-русски, даже если у вас нет русскоязычной раскладки. Переключив ее на английскую раскладку, вы можете печатать, используя латинские символы, которые максимально созвучны русским аналогам. Правда, предварительно необходимо установить виртуальную клавиатуру в режим «RU» с помощью кнопки «Esc»:

К примеру, для получения слова «транслитерация» нужно после выше описанных действий набрать на английском «t-r-a-n-s-l-i-t-e-r-a-c-i», а для вывода в текстовое поле буквы «я» надо нажать сначала Ctrl, а потом «a».

Среди полезных фишек данного сервиса присутствует также получение варианта имени и фамилии для загранпаспорта, эта опция чрезвычайно подходит и при регистрации на важных зарубежных ресурсах, о чем я упоминал выше в статье. На отдельной вкладке предоставлен онлайн мультиязычный переводчик с русского и обратно.

2. Еще одним переводчиком в транслит онлайн является известный ресурс Translit.net (бывший Транслит.ру), где свои преимущества. Тут тоже присутствует виртуальная клавиатура прямо на главной странице, которая позволяет транслитерировать текст.

Точно также, как на Translit-online, если вы не имеете русской раскладки, то выбрав виртаульную клавиатуру нажатием ссылки «Включить русский», сможете печатать на кириллице, используя созвучные с латинским алфавитом буквы.

Кроме этого вы можете с помощью соответствующих кнопок («в русский», «в транслит») разом перевести напечатанный текст в латиницу или кириллицу либо, выделив нужную часть, только его фрагмент. Также есть возможность проверить орфографию.

Но и это еще не все. Из выпадающего меню слева можно отыскать нужный вам вид транслита, включая вариант «SEO», который учитывает правила поисковых систем Yandex и Google, а из правого меню — стандарт транслитерации, в том числе предназначенный для загранпаспортов.

На этом сервисе есть еще одна интересная фича. Если щелкните по данной в самом вверху ссылке «Русская клавиатура», перейдете на страницу, где в поле можно ввести текст «вслепую», выбрав кириллическую либо латинскую раскладку виртуальной клавиатуры:

Ежели вы не имеете возможности применить русскую раскладку, то просто включайте ее на странице Транслит.нет и начинайте вводить текст «вслепую» как будто русский вариант есть на вашем компьютере. Также можно печатать, просто нажимая нужные клавиши на «виртуале».

Здесь также вы в силах редактировать настройки по своему желанию и использовать различные дополнительные функции. Если переместитесь чуток ниже на любой странице этого сервиса, то, используя переходы по соответствующим ссылкам, получите прекрасную возможность, например, применить мобильный translit или ознакомиться с FAQ (часто задаваемыми вопросами), которые помогут прояснить непонятные детали. Эразмово и рейхлиново чтение как способы транслитерации латинскими буквами

Транслитерация, основанная на латинском алфавите, используется также при передаче греческих слов в научной литературе, в некоторых словарях, в разных справочных изданиях.

Способ передачи греческих слов латинскими буквами стали применять в то время, когда древнегреческий язык как средство общения уже не использовался. Поэтому возникли разные мнения в передаче его фонетических особенностей.

Существует два варианта передачи греческих слов латинскими буквами – эразмово и рейхлиново чтение, названные в честь двух средневековых филологов и писателей – Эразма Роттердамского (1469 – 1536) и Иоганна Рейхлина (1455 – 1522), разработавших разные способы транслитерации греческих слов средствами латинского алфавита.

Замечание 1

Названные варианты перевода отличаются, в первую очередь, способами передачи некоторых букв, густого придыхания и дифтонгов.

По-разному передается в эразмовом / рейхлиновом чтении звучание следующих букв:

• «β бэта / вита» — «b / v»;
• «η эта / ита» — «e / i»;
• «ϑ тхэта / фита» — «th / f»;
• «υ юпсилон / ипсилон» — «y / i».

Поэтому, например, слова «βάρβαρος» («варвар, чужеземец, не грек»), «ϑέατρον» («театр»), «βιβλιοϑήκη» («библиотека») передаются в эразмовом чтении как «barbaros», «theatron», «bibliotheke», а в рейхлиновом чтении – «varvaros», «featron», «vivliofiki».

В русской письменной традиции имя греческого поэта передается как «Гомер» или «Омир». Греческое написание ‘ ′Οµηρος: Homeros / Omiros. Надстрочные знаки обозначают густое придыхание и острое ударение . В эразмовом чтении густое придыхание передается как «h», а в рейхлиновом чтении оно не передаётся. Таким образом, «Омир» соответствует рейхлинову написанию, а «Гомер» – эразмову.

По-разному передаются дифтонги. Так, слово «παράδειγµα» в эразмовом чтении передаётся как «paradeigma», а в рейхлиновом – как «paradigma».

Эразм Роттердамский предложил вариант транслитерации греческих слов, который впоследствии получил распространение в странах Европы, где языком науки и религии был латинский язык. Такой способ передачи греческих слов буквами латинского алфавита до сих пор используется в странах Западной и Центральной Европы.

Ареал распространения второго варианта – транслитерации Рейхлина – сравнительно невелик. Долгое время, до начала XVIII в., она использовалась в русском языке. После реформ Петра I система Рейхлина вышла из употребления. В русском, как и в других восточнославянских языках, в настоящее время применяется эразмово чтение греческих букв

Следует отметить, что следы орфографической системы Рейхлина сохранились в написании и произношении таких русских слов, как «фита» (а не «тхета» или «тэта»), «алфавит» (а не «алфабет»), «Вавилон» (а не «Бабилон»), «Федор» (а не «Теодор»), «Варвара» (а не «Барбара», лат., польск. «Barbara»), «Василий» (лат. «Basilius»), «Венедикт» (лат. «Benedictus»), «Влас» (лат. «Blasius», франц. «Blaise» / «Blaize») и др.

Всё повторилось с новой силой, ещё более отягощённой тем простым фактом, что при русификации большинство телефонов вгоняли русский алфавит в 2-байтовые символы, что во-первых ограничивало и без того короткую длину сообщения, а во-вторых стоило дополнительных денег. Поэтому среди малоимущих школьников-бездельников любителей текстовых сообщений очень быстро появился не только свой вариант транслита, но и собственный язык, во многом напоминающий leet.

Впрочем, нельзя не признать, что в однобайтной таблице, принятой в сотовой связи, в обилии бродят греческие буквы Φ, Γ, Λ, Π, Δ, ύ и прочая русскоподобная хреноплетень, что ощутимо облегчает задачу ΠPO4TEHU9l HEΠOΔГOTOBΛEHHblM MO3ГOM ΠOΛY4EHHOύ TAKUM O6PA3OM ΔPE6EΔEHU.

На шибко умных телефонах этот процесс затруднен из-за их невероятного удобства и фантастической прогрессивности, в результате которых набирать сообщение так, как хочется, в том числе сочетая английские и греческие буквы, производитель глупенькому пользователю не позволяет.

Транслит как явление (ещё без названия) возник в докомпьютерные времена (подобным образом, например, с середины XIX века передавали русские тексты международным телеграфом; см. также МТК-2), но особенно широко распространился в интернет-общении в связи с существовавшими (порой и существующими) проблемами отображения (см. кракозябры) либо ввода русских букв — например, их может не быть на доступной в данный момент клавиатуре. Транслит активно применяется при общении посредством SMS, поскольку сообщение, набранное латиницей, примерно вдвое короче, чем такое же, набранное кириллицей, соответственно SMS стандартной длины при использовании транслита может содержать примерно в два раза больше текста.

Имеется несколько несовместимых между собой советских и российских официальных стандартов и правил транслитерации кириллицы латинским алфавитом:

• Приложение № 7 к инструкции о порядке оформления и выдачи паспортов гражданам Российской Федерации для выезда из Российской Федерации и въезда в Российскую Федерацию (отменен приказом ФМС от 3 февраля 2010 г. № 26)
• ГОСТ 16876-71
• СЭВ 1362-78
• ГОСТ 7.79-2000 (перевод ISO 9)

В некоторых стандартах, например ГОСТ 16876-71 и ГОСТ 7.79-2000, описано несколько систем транслитерации. Одна для версии символ в символ (с использованием латинских диакритических символов), другая для преобразования одного символа кириллицы в один или несколько символов латиницы без диакритики.

How the Ukrainian Translit Converter Works?

Conversion from Latin script to Ukrainian letters is performed in real time as you type. Advantage of this on-the-fly translit conversion is that you can see the result immediately on the screen.

Sometimes you might want to turn the automatic conversion to Ukrainian OFF to type parts of the text in English. This is easily done by pressing the «Auto Convert» button above the transliteration text field or by pressing the Escape (ESC) button on your conventional computer keyboard. To turn the automated conversion to Ukrainian back on, press the same button again.

The Ukrainian translit converter will automatically escape any text written inside of HTML (e.g. <strong>) or BB codes (e.g. ). This feature is mainly intended to help those among us who frequently communicates on Ukrainian speaking forums, where the use of HTML or BB codes is a common practice. However if this function is not required, it can be easily disabled by pressing the «Skip Tags» button above the Ukrainian transliteration text area once.
